Syrian government forces are entering homes in Eastern Aleppo and killing everyone inside on the spot; men, women, children, the elderly.
Trapped residents are posting their farewell messages on social media. Bana Alabed, 7 years old, posted: “I am talking to the world now live from East #Aleppo. This is my last moment to either live or die.” The UN and independent humanitarian organisations have been denied access to rescue children, doctors and the sick. It’s dreadful enough to have a war, to harm each other in such an awful way, but to deliberately block lifesaving aid to the most vulnerable and innocent is beyond all comprehension.
The United Nations described the situation in Aleppo as a ‘complete meltdown of humanity’. Humanity has failed 💔
